  • Lily Clayman

    Lily is a chef, local business owner, and the Founder and Executive Director of Drishti. She launched the organization in 2021 to tackle the overwhelming food waste she witnessed in the food industry. Through Drishti, Lily is committed to transforming a more sustainable food system and inspiring communities to take action.

  • Farmer John Wilson

    Farmer John Wilson is a seasoned composter and organic farmer with decades of experience. A dedicated expert in CMC composting, he has been a mentor and leader within our organization, guiding our efforts to create high-quality compost and regenerative growing practices.

  • Kevin Jamison

    Kevin is the founder and former owner of Commune Restaurant and the current co-owner of Prosperity Kitchen in Virginia Beach. As the founder of New Earth Farm and a longtime professional farmer, he has dedicated his career to sustainable agriculture and food security. His passion for regenerative farming and community-driven food systems continues to inspire and drive positive change.

  • Jake Wareing

    Jake is a local business owner and a founder of Drishti. As the owner of Wareing’s Gym, he is dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and sustainability within the community. His commitment to fostering a healthier lifestyle extends beyond fitness, supporting initiatives that create a positive environmental impact.

Meet our Team

  • Beatriz (Queen B)

    Beatriz is our Lead Farm Manager and Compost Production Supervisor. As a trained chef, she is passionate about educating others on the importance of composting, closing the food loop, and growing nutrient-rich vegetables using compost. Her expertise bridges the gap between food, soil, and sustainability, helping to create a thriving, regenerative system.

  • Amy Goodove

    Amy is our Director of Education and Community Outreach, she lead efforts to secure grants, build community partnerships, and spread awareness about the importance of composting and closing the food loop. Her work focuses on keeping food waste out of landfills by educating and empowering individuals, schools, and businesses to embrace sustainable practices.

  • Reese Longwater

    Reese is a junior at Ocean Lakes High School’s Math and Science Academy and the Virginia Beach Environmental Studies program. As a Drishti intern, she plays a vital role in assisting with field trips and volunteer days on the farm. Passionate about sustainability, Reese helps educate the community on the importance of composting and reducing food waste, inspiring others to take action.
